The Goodyear facility manufactures cast acrylic for the aerospace industry.  Our equipment and processes are very unique.  Our product can be found in fighter jets, commercial airliners, helicopters and private jets! We are currently looking for a Plant Scheduler to join our team to support our variety of customers. Essential Job Duties

This position is responsible for several related activities that impact the day-to-day functions of the plant manufacturing operation. Position coordinates the inventory stocking levels and supply of raw materials to ensure materials are available when needed; coordinates and oversees material inventory accuracy. Position is responsible for scheduling production lines.

  • Works with CSR’s and plant management, schedules plant production runs to optimize available resources and meet customer delivery needs.
  • Communicates needed schedule changes with manufacturing in a timely manner.
  • Tracks, reports, and manages plant schedule, raw material deliveries, etc. to assure maximum shipping performance to meet or exceed on time shipping goals.
  • Oversees to ensure data integrity and accuracy of finished goods inventory levels as reported in SAP.
  • Makes appropriate adjustments to SAP inventory data in a timely manner.
  • Ensures the availability of raw materials and other manufacturing supplies needed to meet manufacturing production schedules.
  • Ensures needed raw materials are ordered and delivered on time to meet manufacturing needs.
  • Provides backup support for plant non-production hardware and software systems.
  • Performs SAP system transactions to support scheduling, shipping, QC, raw material ordering/movements, TECO (closing orders), etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • H.S. diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing operations experience, with 1 year of experience in plastics related Industry (preferred).
  • Operational Excellence training, and/or certifications (Lean, Six Sigma, ISO), strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Outstanding leadership characteristics and drive for data driven results.
  • Analytical and mathematical skills necessary to collect, interpret, and act on process trials and activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as EHS standards, operating manuals, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as business periodicals, journals, and government regulations.
  • Ability to write operational and project reports, correspondence, and policies and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels in the organization including internal and external associates (including project presentations in group settings). Including the ability to train people.
  • Knowledge of budget administration and financial reporting preferred.
  • Ability to meet physical demands associated with position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook). SAP ERP experience preferred.
