Location: Phoenix, AZ
Schedule: Full-Time (4 Days/Week)
Compensation: $100k - $225k / year
Bonus: RVU

Job Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (Neurosurgery) is a dynamic role focused on providing specialized healthcare services to patients with neurosurgical conditions. The chosen candidate will work closely with a team of neurosurgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. This individual will be pivotal in the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care of patients with diseases, injuries, or disorders of the nervous system, including the brain and spine.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with neurosurgeons to provide care for patients undergoing neurosurgical procedures.
2. Conduct comprehensive or episodic health assessments and develop patient care plans.
3. Administer and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests to monitor the effectiveness of neurosurgical interventions.
4. Prescribe medications and provide comprehensive post-operative care instructions to patients and their caregivers.
5. Participate in rounds, articulate patient management plans and actively engage in patient care discussions.
6. Implement patient management strategies in line with latest evidence-based best practices in neurosurgery.
7. Assist during neurosurgical procedures and operations as required.
8. Facilitate patient referrals to other healthcare professionals as needed.
9. Educate patients and families on disease prevention and health promotion strategies.
10. Take part in continuous education, training sessions and keep vigilant of current advances in neurosurgical care.
11. Adhere and promote adherence to established protocols for patient safety and infection prevention.
12. Document patient progress and communicate any significant changes to all members of the healthcare team.
Requirements
- Completion of US Based NP/PA Program (Not Puerto Rico)
- AZ State NP/PA License (Or able to obtain)
