Position: Neurosurgeon

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Schedule: Full-Time

Compensation: $400k - $650k / year

Bonus: RVU

Job Summary:

A Neurosurgeon is a highly skilled medical professional dedicated to the diagnosis, surgical treatment, and management of disorders that affect the nervous system including the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and extra-cranial cerebrovascular system. This position requires exceptional decision-making skills, in-depth knowledge of the human nervous system and excellent surgical abilities.

Primary Duties:

1. Consult with patients, perform examinations, and analyze patient medical history to formulate a diagnosis and create an individualized treatment plan.

2. Perform surgical procedures on the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves to treat illnesses such as brain tumors, neurovascular disorders, spinal disc herniations, spinal cord injuries, and congenital malformations.

3. Work closely with other healthcare professionals such as anesthesiologists, neurologists and nurses to ensure optimal patient care during surgery and postoperative recovery.

4. Regularly update medical knowledge and surgical skills through continuing education and professional development activities.

5. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining complex neurological concepts and procedures in a manner that can be easily understood.

6. Adhere to all relevant medical regulations and ensure that all procedures are performed in a manner that respects patient rights and confidentiality.

7. Participate in hospital or clinic meetings and engage with peers to share best practices, discuss tough cases, and collaborate on research projects.

8. Maintain detailed records of all patient interactions, treatments, and surgical interventions. 

9. Conduct research to contribute to the advancement in treatment and surgical procedures in the field of neurosurgery.

Requirements

  • Board Certified
  • Residency/Fellowship Trained in Spine Surgery
  • AZ State MD/DO License (Or able to obtain)
