Full Job Description
The Neurodiagnostic Specialist at Neuro Performance & Injury Center plays a critical role in ensuring that all patients, especially those who are uninsured and underinsured, receive timely and effective healthcare. This role will act as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to facilitate optimal care and support. This position communicates consistently and effectively with patients, providers and leadership. EEG Technician is a member of the Phoenix office location who will follow patient care for all Arizona locations. Minimal travel required, 10%.

Responsibilities:
- Perform qEEG record according to the standards of the laboratory recording
- Write a patient history gathering appropriate information from patient from medical history to include seizure types, date of last seizure, other neurological symptomatology and medications; explain test procedure to patient and family members present.
- Implements alternative methods or adjusts controls to obtain optimal recording. This may include appropriate control setting changes on the machine, use of extra electrodes, extra montages and use of activation procedures.
- Recognize artifact (patient or environmental); document, eliminate or take proper measures to monitor the artifact.
- Troubleshoot equipment problems and repair them or report to supervisor promptly.
- Monitor supplies and order
- Adhere to infection control and safety procedures, ensuring the cleanliness and sterility of equipment and examination environment.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 1 year job related experience Preferred
- Experience working in EEG
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families and healthcare professionals.
- Work closely with healthcare providers to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient files, and maintain communication with all parties involved in patient care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in healthcare IT systems, including electronic health records (EHR). ( eCW / eclinical )
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to providing high-quality care to underserved populations.
