Mover / Driver (contractor) - CDL Class B

Employment Type: Full-time - Contractor (1099)

Compensation: $22 to $26 per hour (plus commission)

We are seeking a Mover / Driver with commercial truck driver CDL class B to join our team!

You will be responsible for safely operating a 26’ straight truck for a mix of Local and Long-distance jobs, and for moving furniture from one location to another, ensuring that the items are not damaged.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a 26’ straight truck
• Load and unload cargo (mostly household goods), pack and crate, disassemble and reassemble furniture
• Properly track and document activity log
• Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
• Inspect truck before and after trip

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in moving or similar fields
• At least 1 year of truck driving experience and a clean driving record
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong work ethic. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

Other Requirements:

• CDL class B license
• Pass pre-employment substance abuse screening, background check, and DOT physical
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
