Mover / Driver (contractor)

Employment Type: Full-time - Contractor (1099)

Compensation: $20 to $23 per hour (plus commission)

We are seeking a Mover / Driver with to join our team!

You will be responsible for safely operating a 26’ straight truck, and for moving furniture from one location to another, ensuring that the items are not damaged.

Responsibilities:

●     Safely operate a 26’ straight truck

●     Load and unload cargo (mostly household goods), pack and crate, disassemble and reassemble furniture

●     Properly track and document activity log

●     Report any issues or incidents to dispatch

●     Inspect truck before and after trip

Requirements

Qualifications:

●        Previous experience in moving or similar fields

●        At least 1 year of truck driving experience and a clean driving record

●        Ability to handle physical workload

●        Strong work ethic. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

Other Requirements:

●        Regular driver’s license

●        Pass pre-employment substance abuse screening, background check, and DOT physical

●        Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
