Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager II (Master Scheduler) to join our team on the HI HAP/EDW DDI Project. This project is currently at a critical phase, requiring adept schedule management to ensure timely delivery of remaining deliverables and to maintain robust customer relationships. The role is crucial for forecasting and managing the impacts to our project schedule across various partners, which is essential for the successful go-live of the project.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Update, add, and manage project schedule tasks.
- Load and integrate project calendars into the overall schedule.
- Allocate and manage project resources.
- Establish and maintain task relationships with clear predecessors and successors.
- Track project milestones and ensure compliance with project goals.
- Ensure all project schedules pass Federal checks and standards.
- Perform resource leveling to ensure optimal utilization.
- Calculate and analyze project metrics such as CPI (Cost Performance Index), SPI (Schedule Performance Index), and BEI (Benefits Earned Index).
Top Requirements:
- 5+ years of Microsoft Project experience, managing multiple project schedules.
- 5+ years of IT Project Management experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Additional Required Skills:
- Extensive experience in data gathering/analysis and writing system requirements.
- Proficiency in developing and working with test plans and test cases.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience facilitating Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience in the Healthcare Information Exchange, EDI, or Healthcare industry.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access), MS Project, and MS Visio.
Ideal Candidate Background:
- Proven experience managing project schedules for State DDI projects.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
