Full Job Description
The Licensed Lead Clinician (Lead Specialist, Child Well Being) is the point of contact for matters related to child well-being at DHS sites.
Responsibilities
- Provide advisement and decision support on child well-being; communicate program information to leadership.
- Manage program matters by offering professional opinions and technical expertise on sector-wide child well-being and trauma-informed care concerns.
- Coordinate special cases escalated by CWB Specialists, facilitating connections across local, state, and federal resources.
- Engage with leadership and stakeholders to coordinate care and expedite placements.
- Maintain and coordinate the surge support deployment plan for CWB Specialists as needed.
- Collaborate with management on reporting requirements, initiatives, and information requests.
- Implement guidance to ensure continuity of care, reduce duplication of efforts, and synchronize activities across the child well-being program.
- Provide routine process and outcome metrics reports to monitor and evaluate program success.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with site and government staff.
- Ability to support multiple sites through ongoing communication and data assessment.
- Adaptable to dynamic environments in a developing program.
- Effective project prioritization and problem-solving abilities.
- Good research skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours (24/7/365).
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in behavioral health or related field; doctoral degree preferred.
- Licensed as LCSW, LICSW, LMFT, LPC, or equivalent in relevant states.
- 5+ years of experience in child development and trauma-centered care, including clinical evaluations with children and families.
- 2+ years of management experience supervising staff.
- Preferred experience in cultural humility, child development, and trauma-informed care training.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to travel within the Continental U.S.
- Must pass drug test, motor vehicle record check, and background check post-offer.
