Job Summary:
The General Neurologist position focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of neurological disorders. Individuals in this role will provide comprehensive patient care, stimulate and lead the collaboration with other healthcare professionals, and engage in continual learning to stay updated with the latest developments in neurology.
Duties:
1. Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with neurological disorders.
2. Provide both outpatient and inpatient care, ensuring high-quality medical services.
3. Interpret results from neurological tests, such as CT scans, MRIs, and EEGs.
4. Establish care plans and communicate them effectively to patients and their families.
5. Collaborate closely with a team of health care professionals, including neurosurgeons, nurses, and physical therapists.
6. Drive research efforts into the cause, prevention, and treatment of neurological disorders.
7. Engage in continuous professional development, attending seminars, conferences, and workshops related to neurology.
8. Adhere strictly to all hospital regulations and safety standards.
9. Communicate calmly and effectively in high-stress situations.
10. Maintain confidentiality and display high levels of ethical practice and sensitivity to patients’ rights.
11. Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and mentoring for less experienced neurologists.
12. Stay informed about new findings and latest tools in neurology to ensure the provision of competent patient care.
Requirements
- Board Certified in Neurology
- AZ State MD/DO License (Or able to obtain)
