Estimator

Petty Products is a business-to-business company that serves commercial and residential builders with a heavy focus on national homebuilders with high-volume production installs. We offer a variety of glazing products and installation services focusing on shower doors, splash panels, mirrors, and other bath accessories. Petty Products operates in the greater Phoenix and Tucson markets. What sets Petty Products apart from the competition is our belief in standing behind exceptional customer service. We are looking for an Estimator to provide pricing to our construction industry customers.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience estimating projects in residential, commercial, or industrial plumbing projects. The Estimator will review project plans and specifications to meet our customers’ expectations by acquiring competitive pricing for the entire scope of work.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Inspect plans and specifications of projects
• During the bid process, prepare transmittals, distribute plans, specifications, and addenda to contractors.
• Plan detailed quantity surveys and complete scope
• Review RFQ packages and provide project estimates for contractors
• Discuss with customers, suppliers, or other involved parties to review estimates and resolve issues
• Remain in a plan to help maintain the profit margin and handle any changes in the original estimates

Requirements

• Two or more years of related experience in the plumbing estimating process
• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent a must
• Education from college, trade school, or military ideal, but not required with some experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable, detailed oriented, highly organized, and capable of handling several tasks
• Recognize a thorough understanding of the plumbing or bath pack industry
• The ability to learn local codes and to use available resources to find solutions
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with national builders websites (Supply Pro, ITK, etc.) is a plus, but not required
