Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain database software and systems.
• Monitor the performance and security of databases and implement necessary improvements.
• Design and implement database backup and recovery plans.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy through regular audits and quality checks.
• Develop and implement database security measures to protect sensitive data.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize database queries and improve efficiency.
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide technical support to users.
• Perform database capacity planning and identify future needs.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging database technologies and recommend relevant solutions.
• Document database policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server).
• Experience with database design, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Familiarity with database backup and recovery strategies.
• Understanding of database security and data integrity principles.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Relevant database certifications are a plus.
