5:00 am - 2:00 pm
Ewing Outdoor Supply is looking for a dedicated and experienced Credit Collections Specialist II to become a vital part of our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely collection of outstanding debts from our customers while maintaining a positive and professional relationship with them. Working closely with both customers and the internal team, your goal will be to resolve payment issues efficiently and effectively.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong sense of organization, and the ability to handle challenging conversations with confidence. This position requires a proactive approach to managing collections while ensuring the best possible customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Handle a portfolio of overdue accounts and initiate contact with customers to collect outstanding payments.
- Negotiate payment arrangements and provide solutions to facilitate timely payments.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve account disputes and discrepancies.
- Monitor customer payment behavior and identify potential risks to prevent future delinquencies.
- Document collection activities accurately in the company’s accounting system.
- Generate reports on collection progress and customer payment trends for management review.
- Assist in the assessment of credit limits and terms for customers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in finance or relevant field preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in credit and collections.
- Strong understanding of collection laws and compliance regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems is highly desirable.
