Full Job Description
Wilson Hand LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeping Director/Controller to join our team. As the Bookkeeping Director/Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of bookkeeping and financial management for our clients, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, and providing financial insights to support decision-making.
The ideal candidate for this role has a strong background in bookkeeping and financial management, with experience in leading and managing a team. You have a thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices, and are proficient in financial software and systems. You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of bookkeeping and financial management for clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions and reporting.
- Manage and lead a team of bookkeepers, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Develop and implement efficient bookkeeping processes and procedures to improve productivity and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Review financial statements and reports, and provide financial insights to clients and management.
- Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to gather financial information, resolve discrepancies, and support decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Perform regular audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in bookkeeping or financial management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems.
- Experience leading and managing a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Knowledge of applicable accounting regulations and standards.

Compensation
$45 to $55 an hour
