Full Job Description


Ally Pediatric Therapy, a specialty clinic for children with autism and other childhood disorders, is looking for a AR Specialist to join our growing team.

Our mission is to be an ally in growth to the children and families we serve. To do so, we utilize a unique approach of integrating the principles of applied behavior analysis and speech-language pathology expertise.

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, your mission will be to lead timely and methodical follow-up to collect outstanding account balances with payors and educates team on payor guidelines.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Productivity touches
  • Percentage of workable denials overturned
  • Average number of touches to resolve claim
  • No unaddressed or overdue claims in denials
  • Percentage of unworked or unpaid claims


Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts methodical follow-up of unpaid accounts to capture aged dollars and resolve outstanding aged AR
  • Maintains accurate and updated documentation of accounts worked to ensure timely resolution and accurate reporting of unpaid accounts
  • Identifies denial trends and educates RCM and clinic teams on how to improve billing processes to increase clean claims rates and improve DSO
  • Owns follow up on denials management, and leads notation, appeals, and resolution of unpaid accounts
  • Reviews accounts to identify credit balances and proposes resolution to credit balances to maintain compliance with funders
  • Identifies and communicates with payers regarding contractual issues that need to be aligned
  • Supports additional RCM functions/projects as time permits

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Healthcare Administration, Finance, or Information Systems, preferred
  • CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative) certified, or willing to obtain within 90 days
  • 3+ years’ experience in a medical or behavioral health group practice with emphasis on back-office functions, preferred
  • Sitting, standing, and moving throughout the day in an office environment
  • Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30pm
  • Hybrid position (clinic support center (85281) and remote)
