Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our Team as an Apprentice Hearing Aid Dispenser. In this role, you will work closely with experienced hearing healthcare professionals to learn the ins and outs of assessing, fitting, and servicing hearing aids for our patients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in the hearing healthcare field to gain hands-on experience and develop valuable skills.
Responsibilities
- Exhibit professional and friendly behavior in all customer interactions. Continuously strive to build rapport and develop relationships with the customer
- Maintain work schedule and optimize sales opportunities with customers and prospects.
- Consistently meet expectations of the role
- Conduct tympanometry examinations (where within the scope of practice) and otoscopic examinations
- Conduct pure tone air and bone conduction tests with and without masking
- Conduct speech recognition threshold and word recognition tests, with and without masking
- Make recommendations for amplification
- Conduct patient custom earmold impressions
- Handle fitting and dispensing of hearing instruments
- Provide follow-up care for amplification, including adjustments, troubleshooting, and repairs
- Provide counseling regarding hearing loss through positive patient experience
Requirements
- Two Years College (preferred)
- Background experience in customer sales-related field experience healthcare industry is a plus.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Collaborate and work well with others
- Genuine interest in helping individuals with hearing loss.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- Strong computer skills.
