Position Summary:

We are seeking an Accounting Associate, passionate about their professional development, to support day-to-day Accounting for multiple entities with 9-figure combined revenue. This position focuses on full-cycle Accounts Payable, including vendor file management, invoice triple-match, payment issuance, and vendor statement reconciliation! To accomplish this, the Accounts Payable Specialist will communicate with management, use SAP and Excel, and apply their experience and critical thinking skills to streamline processes.

You’ll gain extremely sought-after experience by working in a highly in-demand industry. The Accounting Associate will also learn and assist with other functions and projects such as bookkeeping depending on their professional interests. This role benefits from strong business experience in Accounts Payable, but we are also willing to train the right person! This is a Hbybrid position working 2 days from our Downtown Phoenix office (across from the Footprint Center).

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, record, and reconcile vendor invoices. Code and prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms.
  • Ensure invoices are getting through approval workflow in a timely manner.
  • Perform 3-way match on Purchase Order related invoices.
  • Process, both trade and non-trade, purchase order requests for multiple locations, including proper allocating to GL account, project, and cost center.
  • Pay for product and services as requested utilizing the Company’s P-Card.
  • Track purchase orders to confirm delivery of related product or service.
  • Process customer refund and bond check disbursements for multiple entities weekly.
  • Research and reconcile vendor invoice discrepancies to ensure the accuracy of payments.
  • Develop strong relationships with our vendors and serve the PrePass community as an expert on their billing practices.
  • Use SAP and Excel to streamline key procedures, improving efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare information for month-end A/P accruals
  • Assist with other accounting functions or projects, depending on personal interests and the team’s needs.
  • Conduct all task in compliance with company policies, while both enforcing and educating colleagues and vendors on those policies.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Accounting or related field a plus.
  • Experience in full-cycle A/P is very helpful, but we are willing to train the right person.
  • Exposure to purchasing, accounts receivable, cash applications, or accounting are a plus.
  • Interested in professional development in business administration or accounting.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Organized with high attention to detail.
  • Hard worker with a great personality!
