Job Description: This position supports the Strategic Engagement Division of the Ted Stevens Center for Arctic Security Studies (TSC), the newest of six Department of Defense Regional Centers. You will plan and execute TSC events and activities through internal coordination with senior management, faculty, and staff, as well as various external organizations to secure needed materials and services.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare events; create operational assignment schedule for assigned functional support against event agendas; create and update weekly detailed program timelines and milestones to execute events; develop, manage, and report on program expenditures to achieve program objectives and maintain daily updates of expenditures; standardize execution of seminar components which are universal to Ted Stevens Center seminar events.
- Ensure short- and long- term completion milestones are achieved, and requirements are met.
- Conduct in-progress reviews (IPR) and after-action reviews with faculty and staff, and provide input to Events Manager as required or requested.
- Conduct research to recommend vendors in support of programs.
- Evaluate current planning procedures, recommend improvements, and implement modifications as required.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures for international and domestic events to ensure steps necessary to synchronize events are identified.
- Assist supporting event personnel to plan travel requirements; acquire airline tickets, file pre and post travel vouchers, compile security information and manage security cable transmissions, as necessary.
- Shall be able to travel in support of international programs and direct pre-/on-site/post-international event requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or eight (8) years of documented senior program planning experience.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience planning domestic and international events.
- SECRET clearance.

- Ability to contribute as a team player
- Strong interpersonal skills to negotiate various issues.
- Strong ability to work with minimal supervision.
