Systems Engineer

Qualis Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineer with knowledge in embedded systems, communications, and space-based hardware/electronics to join our team of well qualified, diverse individuals at our Huntsville, AL office.

Essential Functions

• Assist in the development and tracking of system requirements, system and subsystem design, build, and test.
• System and subsystem level electronic design, documentation, configuration management, test, and evaluation to include component selection, tracking, integration, and analysis.
• Collaborate in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design and test.
• Evaluation of RF, embedded, and analog circuits.
• Test plan and procedure development, execution, and reporting.
• Procurement and Fabrication management of electrical designs.
• Support system integration, test, and evaluation efforts.
• Operate and maintain electronic systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplined team members.
• Develop and participate in briefing materials for milestone stakeholders.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited university with a minimum GPA of 3.3.
• 0-2+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience in design, analysis, and test of electrical components and systems.
• Candidate must possess a clear understanding of electrical engineering principles such as but not limited to RF communications, embedded systems, power regulation and distribution, and control theory.
• Candidate must have experience designing, documenting, and testing electronic systems.
• Candidate must have the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.
• Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel.
• Candidate must have or have the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
• Must be a US Citizen to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance.
• Candidate must be located in or willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or other related technical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Experience with digital signal processing systems and Radio Frequency (RF) systems preferred including RF bands include C, X, and K band.
• Experience with RF communication technology development, integration, test, and evaluation preferred.
• Experience supporting projects for the Department of Defense (DoD).
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience with NI LabVIEW.
• Experience with FPGAs, Embedded Systems and Single Board Computers (SBCs).
• Experience with Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) technology development, test, and evaluation.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent presentation skills.
