Company Overview: Join a dynamic and growing manufacturing firm in Decatur, Alabama. We are seeking a dedicated Plant Manager to lead our daily manufacturing operations and drive our commitment to safety, quality, delivery, and value.

Role Overview: As the Plant Manager, you will oversee the plant's daily operations, ensuring that production plans are executed efficiently. You will foster a safety-first culture, maintain compliance with environmental and regulatory standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You will also develop operational plans to meet KPIs and collaborate with various departments to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Leadership: Create and maintain a safe work environment, driving Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) improvements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all environmental and third-party compliance regulations are met.
  • Process Standardization: Develop, implement, and enforce standard work for all manufacturing processes.
  • Efficiency Improvement: Drive activities that enhance customer value and deliver margin expansion through material cost reduction, labor efficiency, and expense management.
  • Operational Planning: Develop plans to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with corporate strategic goals.
  • Collaboration: Work with purchasing/procurement to meet cost management, quality, inventory reduction, and on-time delivery objectives.
  • Team Development: Coach, mentor, and develop the operations team in leadership and technical skills.
  • Cross-Functional Teamwork: Foster collaboration with Customer Services, Technical Managers, Sales, Engineering, SI&OP, and other team members to resolve issues.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience: Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Strong background in implementing lean or six sigma manufacturing principles.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team Management: Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Continuous Improvement: Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Safety Program: Demonstrable understanding of safety program concepts and principles.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail.
  • Problem Solving: Creative yet systematic problem solver.
  • Leadership: Experience with plant growth, including new/upgraded equipment, brownfield or greenfield projects, and organizational planning for new capacity with SI&OP considerations.
