Medical Payment Poster

The Medical Payment Poster will manage & reconcile accounts receivable billing and collection of payments for all designated payers. They will verify that payments are correct and are posted to the the patient's accounts with the correct adjustments in a prompt manner. They will monitor A/R aging and provide any necessary further attention to get the claims paid. They will work closely with other members of the billing and collections team to ensure a smooth process from the beginning of the charge to end.

• Conduct duties in a professional and timely fashion
• Submit billing data to the appropriate insurance providers
• Process claims
• Achieve maximum reimbursement for services provided
• Deploy, maintain and report on various programs
• Accept payments and process billing statements
• Keep track of payment deposits from patients and insurance reconciling details
• Prepare payment batches
• Conduct audits for billing cycles
• Assess explanation of benefits (EOBs) from insurance companies & resolve denials
• Keep accurate billing records and report any discrepancies to accounting
• Cross train with department staff to provide coverage

Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of and experience in medical billing & collections.
• Data entry skills & working knowledge of computer required.
• Exceptional customer service & interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in examing documents for accuracy and completion.
• Ability to muilty task and manage time effectively.
