IT Infrastructure Project Manager
Systems Integration & Development (SID) is an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in Rockville, MD and is seeking an IT Infrastructure Project Manager to join our team. This is a full-time position based in Tuscaloosa, AL.
The IT Infrastructure Project Manager will manage a team of IT professionals, ensure the delivery of high-quality technical support and services, and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. The PM will coordinate with the stakeholders to ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), compliance with contractual obligations, and achievement of performance targets.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee multiple infrastructure projects, ensuring successful delivery within budget and timeline
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, and communicate project status to stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, and operations personnel
- Identify and mitigate project risks, and provide problem-solving and decision-making support
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and best practices
- Manage project scope, change requests, and stakeholder expectations
- Lead project meetings, including project kick-off, status meetings, and issue resolution meetings
- Provide regular reporting on project progress, issues, and risks
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as an IT project manager, with a focus on infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams, prioritize tasks, and solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in IT leadership roles, preferably in a contract or service delivery environment.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure concepts and technologies, including networking, server infrastructure, and cloud computing
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework and best practices is desired but not mandatory.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, PMP) are desired but not mandatory.
