As an essential member of Sigma's People Operations team, the HR Generalist II brings a wealth of HR knowledge and experience to support our ongoing HR needs. You will be the go-to person for employee issues, ensuring new hires have a fantastic onboarding experience, and making them feel welcomed from day one.

Requirements

  • Experience
    • 5-8 years of HR experience, with a strong background in regulatory compliance including Vets-4212, EEO reporting, and OFCCP audits.
    • Proven experience in drafting Affirmative Action Program (AAP) goals and plans.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, candidates with substantial relevant experience (8+ years) will be considered.
  • Certifications:
    • SHRM-CP a plus but not required.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
    • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Ability to learn our HRIS system.
    • An excellent communicator with outstanding people skills.
    • A team player with a result-driven approach.
    • Proactive, resourceful, and able to self-manage.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
    • Basic understanding of HR procedures and policies.

    • Basic understanding of relevant software, tools, and systems used in the corporate environment, including proficiency in Windows and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive)

  • Manage and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including Vets-4212, EEO reporting, and OFCCP audits.
  • Draft and implement Affirmative Action Program (AAP) goals and plans.
  • Conduct employee relations activities, including investigating and resolving workplace conflicts and grievances.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employees, providing assistance and resolving issues.
  • Assist with HRIS administration, including data entry, maintenance, and reporting.
  • Process new employee compensation actions and status changes accurately and timely.
  • Monitor and respond to HR-related emails.
  • Provide HR support to employees and management, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Serve as a backup for coordinating employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for all parties involved.
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of employee onboarding and orientation programs, ensuring a positive and seamless experience for new hires as a backup.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of onboarding enhancements and initiatives to improve retention and engagement.
  • Assist the HR Manager with special projects and required reporting.
  • Participate in HR meetings and provide statistical reporting as directed.
  • Manage employee records and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Document, maintain, and communicate core HR processes to stakeholders, managers, and employees.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs aligned with organizational goals.
  • Mentor junior HR team members and collaborate with People Operations leadership to align strategies and initiatives.
  • Conduct research and analysis on HR trends, best practices, and emerging issues to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a backup for the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
  • Serve as a backup for the administration of our leave management program, including FMLA, ADA, and other applicable leave policies.
  • Participate in HR audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Oversee HR compliance activities to ensure adherence to employment laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various HR projects and initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for employee retention and satisfaction.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $90,000 annually.
