Full Job Description
Symmetrio is recruiting a Director of Revenue Cycle Management for its client, a hematology and oncology practice, offering comprehensive care and treatment for a wide range of illnesses. The Director of Revenue Cycle Management will oversee and direct the billing and insurance collections, and charge posting processes. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the financial health of the organization by leading revenue cycle functions, including commercial insurance and government payer A/R, facility billing and collections, medical systems maintenance, and insurance underpayment recovery activities. The Director will align the team with company performance metrics to achieve goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct revenue cycle functions including commercial insurance and government payer A/R, facility billing and collections, medical systems maintenance, insurance underpayment recovery activities.
- Align team with company performance metrics to achieve goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Identify improper denial and rejection trends and work with payers to provide appropriate feedback and escalation of payer issues.
- Manage claims projects with payers.
- Organize and monitor the productivity and quality of staff in designated areas of concentration.
- Analyze and identify denial trends and implement charge scrubber or other technology solutions to minimize avoidable denials.
- Identify and implement strategies to build a high-performing team including building a supervisory leadership pipeline, creating a regulatory/compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or related field, or equivalent work experience with Unlimited Systems Billing system.
- 3-5 years progressive leadership in insurance and government payer collections, focused on Oncology.
- Demonstrated experience in a high-volume healthcare collections experience required.
- Previous experience working with multiple types of electronic health record systems including Unlimited Systems, Aria, MOSAIQ, NextGen or similar platforms.
- CPC coding certification preferred.
