Job Summary

The Business Systems Analysts use their skills in troubleshooting and problem-solving to overcome organizational information system technology and process challenges. You will use your knowledge of software programs and business strategies to help maximize system efficiency and communication. You will work with our leadership team, internal, and external customers to identify their business needs and then coordinate with our IT team to configure systems based on those requirements. As the systems expert, you will then train company employees on how to use the software effectively in their daily jobs.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement based on industry trends and professional business knowledge.
  • Improve training and operational procedures within a business to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Work directly with teammates to understand the individual needs of the business.
  • Create and present reports to executive team members and stakeholders to support system recommendations.
  • Oversee implementation projects from feasibility to completion.
  • Use a variety of data analysis and organization reporting tools to support business needs.
  • Develop processes and procedures to improve existing systems.
  • Research and compare hardware and software needs to make recommendations for the users.
  • Present key information to departmental teams for improvements
  • Estimate and establish costs of upgrades and improvements.
  • Address issues of existing systems
  • Compile, write, and distribute system process specifications.
  • Document and create reports on systems effectiveness.
  • Assist in training others, as needed to support system enhancements.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to pass a background investigation.
  • Must be able to pass an initial and yearly random drug testing.
  • Extensive proficiency in one or more of the following disciplines: mechanical, electrical, precision cleaning, laboratory sampling, laboratory analysis, safety, Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) and laboratory quality control and/or calibration support.
  • No additional restrictions
  • Ability to use a personal computer in the performance of scientific analysis and research.
  • Travel: <10%

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical training in computer systems and integration. Professional certifications may directly offset college education requirements.
  • Three to Five years of Information Systems / Technology experience.
  • SQL/Cognos reporting is preferred.
  • PowerShell experience is preferred.
