Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Full Charge Bookkeeper to independently manage all aspects of our company's financial records. This remote position demands meticulous attention to detail, strong accounting principles, and proficiency with accounting software. The ideal candidate will expertly handle the full accounting cycle, from day-to-day transactions to financial statement preparation and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, ensure accuracy and timely payments, manage vendor relationships and resolve discrepancies.
  • Accounts Receivable: Generate customer invoices, track payments, follow up on past due balances, and maintain accurate receivables records.
  • Payroll Processing: Calculate employee wages and deductions, issue paychecks, manage tax filings, administer benefits (if applicable).
  • Bank Reconciliations: Regularly reconcile all bank accounts and credit card statements, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements).
  • Tax Preparation: Assist in gathering tax documentation, preparing, and filing necessary tax returns (sales, payroll, etc.).
  • Journal Entries: Record standard and adjusting journal entries ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
  • Audit Support: Provide documentation and information during internal and external audits.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance accounting processes, ensuring efficiency and improved controls.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Expertise in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and an exceptional eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • Experience in the printing or promotional products industry.
