Full Job Description

The Center for Speech and Language, a speech therapy private practice focused on providing quality speech, language, fluency, and voice therapy to clients of all ages, is seeking a Front Desk Clerk to join our team. As our Front Desk Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, delivering excellent customer service with each interaction. The ideal candidate will have a great attitude, attention to detail, good communication skills, and exceptional organizational abilities.


Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients and visitors to the center in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer incoming phone calls, schedule appointments, and address client inquiries and requests
  • Update and maintain client records in the center's database
  • Collect client payments and billing information
  • Coordinate with therapists and other staff members to ensure timely delivery of services
  • Keep the office area clean, organized, and presentable at all times
  • Provide general administrative support such as copying, scanning, and filing documents.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in computer software and experience using office equipment
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance verification, and billing procedures preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
