Position Summary: As an Assembler at New Flyer, you will play a crucial role in the production process, assembling components to build high-quality buses according to engineering specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions to perform assembly tasks.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to assemble mechanical, electrical, and structural components of buses.
• Align and fit parts according to assembly blueprints and adjust as necessary to ensure proper fit and function.
• Install subsystems and components such as seats, HVAC systems, electrical wiring, and plumbing fixtures.
• Perform quality checks on completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment and prevent accidents.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an assembler or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive or heavy equipment assembly.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.
• Attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and maneuver heavy parts and equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in mechanical assembly is a plus.
