Federal Tax Reporter in Virginia

We’re looking for a smart and curious reporter capable of digging up good stories in the important and highly competitive federal tax beat. A successful candidate for this job will have professional journalism experience, examples of published articles that demonstrate an ability to find unique or compelling angles, and a drive to beat the competition on stories that could affect future policy decisions.

• Work independently to track new developments at the IRS and in Congress and generate story ideas for daily news stories, sometimes on short deadlines.
