Standardized Patient Educator

Educates and coaches Standardized Patients (SP) for formative and summative simulated activities to portray the assigned patient condition accurately and consistently, including the patient's history, personality, physical findings, emotional structure, and response pattern.  Provides accurate and constructive feedback to Standardized Patients.  Educates and trains SPs in feedback and assessment of the learners.  Assesses Inter-rater Reliability of SP assessments for purposes of training.

• Provides support to the Director of Simulation by recruiting, training, scheduling and mentoring Standardized Patients (SPs).
• Participates in evaluation and selection of new Standardized Patients (SP).
• Assists in development of training protocols for SPs.
• Assesses effectiveness of training programs and makes recommendations to leadership for improvement.
