Summary of Scholarships Program: The San Diego Foundation Community Scholarship Program was established in 1997 with 21 funds and in its first year awarded 35 scholarships. Today, the program awards nearly 1,000 scholarships a year and is the largest provider of scholarships in San Diego outside of the universities, having granted more than $49M to thousands of students throughout the past 27 years.
