Sanitation Technician

​​This role contributes to Heartland Harvest, Inc’s success by maintaining quality and food safety through cleanliness and sanitation of the facility.    ​ 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND/KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES  

1. Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly sanitation tasks as outlines in the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and designated by Quality Manager.  

1. Clean floors, walls, ceilings and moving stock with chemicals 

1. Adhere to safety and chemical standards 

1. Sanitation tasks include interior and exterior. 

1. Responsible for food safety by keeping facility areas clean. 

1. In absence, Quality Manager will delegate tasks

Job Overview

The purpose of a sanitation tech at Etz Hayim is to work together with Operations and Quality teams in the production of high-quality products while ensuring efficiency and safety. They will be responsible for maintaining cGMP cleanliness standards of equipment, tools, parts and work areas

Our Warehouse Sanitation Workers are responsible for:

• Cleaning and sanitizing food production facility
• Disassembling and assembling equipment to clean and sanitize
• Dish washing and pot washing before and after production

Requirements:

• Ability to work at a fast pace throughout shift
• Able to work in cold and wet environment (38-40 degrees) for multiple hours 
• Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse
• Able to lift, bend and twist as well as standing on your feet throughout every shift

Our Sanitation Workers are responsible for:

• Operate steam and high-pressure hoses.
• Safely cleaning and sanitizing equipment, tools, and facility to ensure all soil and contaminates are removed per procedures. Included but not limited to the following: Warehouse area and outside of the facility.
• Work around hot, cold, wet, dry, and noisy environments
• Operating CIP and COP tank cleaning equipment to clean disassembled equipment.
• Following sanitation schedules to conduct and document routine cleaning of the facility and production line.
• Verifying and documenting that correct chemicals and concentrations are used and that cleaning and sanitizing is complete to deliver equipment and infrastructure that is clean and passes all micro indicator tests.

Training for this position will not begin until mid to late May. If chosen to interview for the role, in person interviews will take place at our current facility in south Oak Cliff, but will report to the new Garland facility located at 2610 McCree Rd, Garland, TX 75041.
