The Assistant GM responsibilities include leading front of house guest services, managing vendors, processing payroll, and supervising/managing restaurant staff performance. To be successful in this role, the Assistant GM should be familiar with restaurant operations, able to minimize operating costs while maintaining high quality, boost team member retention, and be available to work within restaurant hours, including weekends and holidays.
