The Road Home was founded in 1923 and has been a leader in the endeavor to end homelessness for over 100 years. We provide low-barrier emergency shelters, supportive services, and housing-first-minded rental assistance that helps individuals and families step out of homelessness and back into the community. We are seeking compassionate and empathetic individuals who are interested in making a difference in the lives of others and their community. 

Job Summary

The Advocate will work at the front desk of a 201-unit apartment building and perform a wide variety of duties relating to working with poverty and vulnerable populations. This team member will work in a beautifully renovated hotel featuring studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments for chronically homeless single men, women and families. The Resident Advocate (RA) supports the residents by maintaining the Shelter Mission, Values and Motto; enforcing all aspects described in the Shelter’s Resident Guidebook including programming, meals, chores, services, etc. The Resident Advocate reports directly to the Shelter Manager.
