Regulatory Engineer

As a member of the Regulatory Engineering Team, you will be responsible for ensuring customer applications and hardware developments meet the regulatory standards of industrial, medical, and computer equipment. Successful candidates will have experience in some or all of these fields and will be able to orchestrate test plans, explain requirements to customers in engaging and helpful ways, problem solve non-compliance issues, and excel at collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary team. On an average day, you'll… 

• Coordinate Product Safety, EMC, and RF testing with Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories, such as UL, Intertek, TUV, for requesting quotes, developing test plans, and obtaining Product Safety Certifications.

What you'll do: The Regulatory Engineer is accountable for understanding, implementing, and revising all aspects of product/system Regulatory EMC and Safety compliance.  Regulatory Standards will be implemented for a wide range of new and existing products and designs, covering Commercial, Industrial, Signage, Architectural market applications.  A detailed working knowledge of EMI/EMC standards including FCC Part 15, EN 55032 and EN 55035 and of Safety standard IEC 62368-1 is required

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance on Regulatory requirements to design and support teams globally, working closely with the New Product Design Engineer/Project Manager, and trouble-shooting issues that may arise - from product conception at the NPI stage through to final design and certification - while promoting a collaborative atmosphere of Quality awareness and continuous improvement within all levels...

The vehicle emission regulatory engineer will help Support vehicles meet environmental standards at federal, state, & local levels.  A qualified candidate will be capable of becoming a regulatory professional and be trained in researching and analyzing future regulatory trends to recommend internal action; guide the direction for company research; and help develop policy.  Communication directly with agencies such as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), California Air Resource Board (CARB), National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), and U.S. Customs is regularly required.
