Production Operator-Roasting & Grinding

Summary:

Roasting/Grinding operators are in charge of processing green beans in a safe, timely and quality manner by managing to use all personal skills and functions of an industrial size roaster and grinder.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Keeping Inventory and handling of green and whole roasted coffee beans
• Calculation of batch weights with expected grinding loss
• Set up and operation of industrial grinder and roaster
• Transport of green and roasted beans with forklift
• Grind coffee into super sacs by percentage specified on work order
• completed regular quality checks by taking Ro-Tap samples and Agtron readings
• Adjustment of grinder/roaster settings to achieve consistent grinds/roasts and meet specifications
