Picking / Pinning Lead Operator

General:

The Pinning Leader operates, maintains, and sets up key equipment involved in scalding, picking, and hock cutting. Roles and responsibilities require knowledge base of the Humane Aire CAS (Controlled Atmosphere Stunning) systems.  The position reports to the CAS supervisor w/ primary work schedule of M-F, day shift, with flexibility to work early/ late shift, overtime, and weekends, as needed. 

Specific Duties / Responsibilities:

• Responsible for safely setting up, operating, maintaining the scalders, pickers, hock cutters
• Executes required on-going housekeeping including the movement of blood, water, feathers and waste in the Bleed/Scald/Pick room.
• Applies knowledge in pinning processes and works with maintenance to PM, troubleshoot, service, and maintain equipment operation throughout the shift
