Part time Mechanic

Wilson Hand LLC is currently looking to hire a part-time RV Mechanic to join our team. As an RV Mechanic, you will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance and repairs on recreational vehicles to ensure they are in optimal condition.

The ideal candidate for this role has previous experience as an RV Mechanic or similar position and possesses strong knowledge of RV systems and components. You are skilled in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, and you have a strong attention to detail to ensure all repairs are completed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
• Inspect and test RV systems and components
• Provide estimates for repairs and communicate with customers

Plumbing, Sewer and Water contractor of 38 years in NW Chicago area.

Part time mechanic 24-40 hours a week depending on need. Work on small engines, heavy equipment and truck/vans. There are also vintage cars to work on when work is slow. Jobs that are too big will be sent out for repairs.

Mechanics area is heated and has a two post lift. The larger tools are provided but prefer mechanic to have most of their own hand tools.

Flexible hours. No weekends.

Requirements

Knowledge of working on vehicles. Must be familiar with gas and diesel engines.

Stick, MIG and TIG welding a plus.

Paint and body work a plus.
