The Mechanical Engineering Intern will be an integral part of our engineering team, focusing on maintaining, repairing, and enhancing cutting-edge instruments. This full-time summer internship, located at our Boston Seaport office, offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, collaborate in a dynamic startup environment, and contribute to the advancement of genomics technology.

Day To Day Work

• Assist the engineering team in prototyping, manufacturing, and assembling instruments.
• Conduct calibration, quality control, and repair tasks on instruments.

As a mechanical intern on our engineering team, you will play a critical role on our team increasing production rate, quality, and safety by:

• Designing and build fixtures and jigs for production use
• Identifying and fixing product and process inefficiencies
• Fabricating and integrating precision tooling into the production line
• Solving difficult technical problems to optimize for our ultimate goal of reducing the cost of housing in Southern California
