Logistics Clerk

General Purpose of Job:

The Logistics Clerk is responsible for assisting with administrative functions within the logistics department. They assist the department with data entry, pulling reports, answering and making phone calls, and sending and responding to emails. This position requires extreme attention to detail and a sense of urgency in serving fellow team members, vendors and drivers. Additionally, this position may help with other responsibilities as needed. Complete any other duties as assigned by management.

The Logistics Clerk is a full-time, on-site position located at Piping Technology & Products, Inc., 3701 Holmes Road, Houston, TX 77051. All candidates are encouraged to ensure that they are within a commutable distance to this location before applying. This position will perform duties as assigned by management in the Shipping Department. Communication is very important to this role. Must be able to communicate with vendors, customers, warehouse teams, and internal departments. The strongest candidates will have knowledge of tracking shipments, compliance, safety, inventory control, and document control.
