Job Summary:
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is responsible for providing direct resident care by following the plan of care, providing treatments, and working with the clinical staff and other health care team members. The LVN can be assigned duties as a treatment nurse, medication nurse, or charge nurse in the absence of an RN.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct patient care involves conducting assessments and treatments within established protocols. This includes administering medication and being highly knowledgeable in orthostatic vital signs, nursing assessments, height/weight measurements, and adhering to the patient's schedule.
- Providing accurate and timely documentation consistent with the care provided is essential.
