Library Clerk

LAC Federal is seeking a Library Clerk to work on-site and support collection maintenance activities for a large federal library in Washington, D.C. As a Library Clerk, duties will range widely and will require working with diverse library materials. This is a full time, evening position from 11:30 am to 8:00 pm; Monday to Friday.

Your Impact:

• Sorting, arranging, and transporting library materials to be shelved
• Breaking down materials to include separating and sorting materials on book trucks according to call number ranges
• Identifying materials requiring follow-up for collection stabilization and rehousing
• Maintaining detailed logs of activities
• Inter-filing materials on bookshelves
• Shelf-reading and reviewing each shelf piece-by-piece

As a Library Clerk, you will be work on-site and support collection maintenance activities for a large federal library in Washington, D.C. Duties will range widely and will require working with diverse library materials.

Office Location: Washington, D.C. – Orange, Blue, Silver Metro Line

Work Hours: 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Job Status: Part Time Contract
