Job Description: 

Sorting Robotics Inc. is looking for a Purchasing/ Inventory Control Coordinator to help procuring inventory and organizing supplies for the production staff. The position reports to the the Production Manager.

Preferred: Must be comfortable with cannabis (preferred you enjoy it and have experienced it) as we manufacture robotic innovations for the legal cannabis market in the US and Canada.

The Purchasing/ Inventory Control Coordinator’s primary duties include but are not limited to:

• Assist with the procurement of materials and supplies needed for production.
• Buys materials within cost estimate and delivered on time
• Follow up on all open orders, including ship date, tracking number or status.
• Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing and terms of contracts.

As Inventory Control Coordinator your role would involve overseeing and optimizing inventory management processes to ensure efficient operations and cost-effective inventory levels. Your responsibilities would include:

1.       Inventory Planning and Forecasting: Develop and implement inventory planning strategies to ensure optimal stock levels. Analyze historical data, market trends, and sales forecasts to accurately predict demand and determine appropriate inventory quantities.

2.       Inventory Optimization: Implement inventory optimization techniques, such as ABC analysis, safety stock calculations, and economic order quantity (EOQ) models. Continuously monitor inventory performance and adjust parameters to maximize inventory turnover, minimize stockouts, and reduce carrying costs.
