Events Planning Coordinator, Los Angeles Contract (Urgent)

World Central Kitchen is seeking a dynamic and connected Events Planning Coordinator to join our team in Los Angeles on an urgent, contract basis. This role requires availability six (6) days a week for a couple of weeks minimum, and is crucial in helping us organize and execute impactful events that support our mission of using the power of food to heal communities and strengthen economies in times of crisis and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and execute events and festivals in the Los Angeles area.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with local restaurant partners, catering services, and food truck operators.
• Collaborate with World Central Kitchen teams to ensure events align with organizational goals and values.
• Manage event logistics, including permits, vendor coordination, and on-site execution.
• Develop event budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
