Environmental Analyst

LaBella Associates seeks an Environmental Analyst or professional to join one of our New York offices. The Environmental Impact Group (within the Environmental Division) at LaBella Associates provides environmental review, impact analysis, permitting and planning services to a variety of municipal, private, and utility clients in addition to serving internal LaBella divisions.

Under general supervision of the Environmental Impact Group leader, the successful candidate will prepare various environmental documents and related technical studies pursuant to the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Executive Law Section 94-c, and other regulatory programs. The candidate may also participate in a broad range of other environmental and planning services offered by LaBella Associates. Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills are essential for the position.

This position will be in our Environmental Permitting and Compliance Group and based out of a client’s office in Rochester, NY or Binghamton, NY. The position will mainly be officed based with occasional fieldwork. The ideal candidate will be a highly-motivated worker with a willingness to work both independently and on a team, learning as much as possible on a variety of gas and electric utility projects. We are currently hiring an entry level Environmental Scientist/Geologist/Engineer in our Environmental division at our Rochester office.

The Environmental Scientist/Geologist/Engineer will support Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, environmental investigation and remediation projects at sites with contamination by materials such as solvents, petroleum fuels, metals, and PCBs. You have the opportunity to join a dynamic team working on large, technically engaging, and impactful projects.

A successful candidate will be able to perform various tasks including field work, soil and groundwater sampling, drilling supervision, reporting writing, and support project managers on various projects.
