Roles and Responsibilities

• Attend GOLFTEC University, GOLFTEC’s comprehensive training program
• Use professional expertise to recommend teaching and learning content and create custom lesson plans for students of varying skill levels
• Recommend appropriate GOLFTEC services for each student, including TECFIT Club Fitting, outdoor playing lessons, short game lessons, etc.
• Document each lesson given and publish recaps to our online portal using GOLFTEC’s proprietary TECSWING teaching software
• Maintain the GOLFTEC Training Center environment, equipment, and technology
• Perform daily opening & closing functions for the Training Center, including preparing GOLFTEC teaching systems for use

Coach in Training Responsibilities

• Show up on time with positive energy and lead a FUN & safe daily half-day tennis camp for kids ages 5-11

• Help teach the FUNdamentals of tennis through a cohesive and game-filled lesson plan.
• Gain an overall knowledge of tennis camp operations
• Attend ANTS new coach training and orientation with the ANTS Program Staff
• Interact cooperatively and positively with all other ANTS staff, children, parents, and community members

Do you love working with youth, teaching tennis, volleyball, and wellness, and encouraging kids to have fun and grow? As a Summer Counselor in Training with ANTS (America’s Next Talented Stars), you’ll help run a fantastic 2024 outdoor summer tennis and volleyball camp in Piedmont.

You’ll be working with a small team of other coaches teaching elementary-aged students how to play tennis and volleyball through a fun & positive lens. By the end of the summer, you will understand practically and philosophically how to coach tennis and volleyball to K-5th youth using the ANTS effectively game-based principles.
