APU Assembly Technician

Piedmont Aviation Component Services is looking for a qualified APU Assembly Technician. APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) is a turbine engine utilized on the aircraft to provide electrical and pneumatic power during periods when the main engines are not running. The following is a list of job duties that an APU Assembly Technician will perform:

• Responsible for the assembly, testing, and travelers related to LRUs, components, parts and tools.
• Secondary responsibilities consist of disassembly, cleaning, analytical inspection, rework schemes, painting, packaging, and other duties as assigned.
• Read and interprets maintenance manuals, or other technical data to determine the feasibility and method to perform the assigned task.
• Replaces or repairs damaged or worn engine parts and component parts using general hand tools, special tools, pneumatic tools and precision measuring equipment. Assembles components with same tools...
