• Performs a variety of clearly defined assignments that require the application of standard structural design engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Using prescribed methods, applies techniques to specific structural engineering or construction projects: this includes technical work like structural design calculations, reading and interpreting surveys, researching design options, writing technical reports, creating project reports, basic CADD review and drafting, and project task management.

Use of technical knowledge to perform engineering assignments

Production of a range of engineering deliverables (including more complex tasks) with some guidance and direction from more senior engineers

Evaluation, selection, and adaptation of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks

Ability to work unsupervised on most aspects of work

Development and review of designs, drawings, and other engineering deliverables involving both existing and new technology and applications

Requirements

Minimum 4 years of experience in the offshore oil and gas industry

Bachelor’s Degree (minimum) or Master’s Degree (preferred) in Civil / Structural Engineering discipline

Working knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and standards (API RP 2A, AISC, ISO, etc)

Increasing proficiency with industry software (SACS, SESAM, ANSYS, MathCAD, etc)
