The Associate Solar Technician will support the Facility Manager in all aspects of operations and maintenance at Scout Clean Energy’s Markum solar power plant, including substation equipment, modules, trackers, inverters, combiner boxes troubleshooting, repair, or replacements. And will also be responsible for MV (medium voltage) switching operations, planned and unplanned outage coordination, substation component inspections, collection system inspections and repairs, IR scanning of all substation and collection system electrical components and balance-of-plant work as well.

The Sr. Associate Solar Technician will support the Facility Manager in all aspects of operations and maintenance at Scout Clean Energy’s Markum solar power plant, including modules, inverter, combiner box troubleshooting, repair, or replacements. We are looking for a Manufacturing Overhaul Tech with at least 2 years of experience with Testing of Gas Producers, Power Turbines, and Reduction Gearboxes.

2nd shift position.

Duties:

You will Resolve and troubleshoot routine test facility and package issues. Acquire and review performance and vibration data required for engine acceptance. Accurately record and document test events and incidents in the Automated Test log.

• Knowledgeable in the use and application of simple electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read Engineering drawings and schematics.
• Contacts are typically with Test Technicians, other Metrology Technicians, and Test/Product Engineers.
• Works under the general direction of the Test Manager, Test Coordinator or Test Engineer. Work is periodically reviewed for completeness and accuracy.
