GL Accountant in Texas

The GL Accountant position is responsible for general ledger accounting activities relative to the Company’s monthly oil and gas revenue, lease operating, and capital cost accruals.  Assist the operations group with analysis of actual spend compared to budget.

Duties and job responsibilities:

• Prepare and/or assist with monthly oil and gas revenue accrual
• Prepare and/or assist with monthly lease operating accruals
• Prepare and/or assist with monthly capital expenditure accruals
• Coordinate with operations group on spend levels and necessary accruals
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations for accrual accounts during the monthly close process
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations for payroll liability accounts

• Ensure compliance with internal control policies across the CCI group subsidiaries.
• Support the Global Financial Manager in CCi Group audit and in statutory accounting practices and regulations relevant to all the companies in the group.
• Responsible for the compilation of information for preparation of tax returns with Tax consultancy firms and ensures full tax and other statutory compliance for the entities.
• Management of insurance contracts relevant to CCi group.
• Ensure all intercompany accounts balance monthly and at year end with the corresponding Intercompany partner
• Responsible for cashflow management for CCi group.
• Analyse the effect of statutory accounting practices and studies regulations and guidance to ensure correct application of IFRS/USA GAAP.
