Our partner is seeking a Deckhand in Memphis, TN. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of vessels. Responsibilities include vessel maintenance, assisting with navigation, and ensuring overall safety.
Responsibilities
- Secure barges together (laying rigging)
- Secure boat to barges (facing boat up)
- Line handling
- General boat cleaning
- Minor engine room work (oil changes, greasing, etc.)
- Painting
- Cooking
- Maintaining logs, grocery orders, and conducting safety drills
Requirements
- Willingness to be trained and coachable
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a 3-day deckhand orientation class
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC
- Valid driver's license
